| WordPress | Posts | Go to /wp-admin/export.php, select "Posts" under "Choose what to export", click "Download Export File" and upload the generated file to Snout. |
| WriteFreely or Write.as | Posts | Go to /me/export, then export your posts as a CSV file. Upload that to the import page. |
| Mastodon | Toots (Posts) | Go to /settings/export of your Mastodon instance, create an archive, extract the zip file, then upload actor.json to the import page. |
| Misskey and its variants (e.g., Sharkey) | Notes | Go to /settings/account-data, click the "All notes" dropdown, then click "Export". Then upload the notes-YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS.json file to the import page. Note: you may need to prepend .json from the downloaded file, depending on the Misskey server. |
| Really Simple Syndication or Atom feeds | Posts, sometimes images | Download the RSS feed as .xml or .rss and upload to the import page. |
