Snout.nu takes your privacy seriously as we collect the bare minimum and only use it to run the site.

What do we collect?

• Posts you make: It’s a bit obvious as to why we need it. We're a blogging service.
• Email & display name: Used to create your account and send login links or updates.

Exceptions

Please note that privacy rights do not apply in cases where we are required by law to disclose user information in response to a valid request under 18 U.S. Code § 2703 (specifically a subpoena, court order, or other legal process).

If we receive such a request, we will be forced to comply with the legal requirements to provide relevant user data to authorities. In these cases, we cannot guarantee confidentiality of your personal data, and the request will supersede our normal privacy practices.

Additionally, in cases of mental health crises where a user may be at risk of harm to themselves or others, we are required to report relevant information to authorities in order to ensure the safety of the individual or others.
