TL;DR: Please use common sense.

The Basics:

Inactivity means no posts or logins for 6 or more months. Squatting refers to registering a domain or subdomain with no intent to post.

Notwithstanding Clause
The Terms of Service outlined in this document and the Privacy Policy override the Mårdhund Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in full.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Snout and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

You acknowledge that Snout is currently provided to you free of charge. This factor is a material basis for the limitations of liability and disclaimers of warranties set forth herein. If we ever have a legal dispute, we’ll try to resolve it informally first. If that doesn’t work, it’ll be resolved under US law.

Digital age of majority
Use of our services by anyone under the age of 13 is prohibited. If you are 13 through 17, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Sensitive and Restricted Content

You must agree to the policy in regards to Sensitive and Restricted Content to use snout.nu.

Code of Conduct

You must not engage in the following:

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to any service, with or without notice, if a user engages in racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, sexism, harassment, or any other behavior we determine to be discriminatory, abusive, harmful, or malicious.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Section 230 Statement

In accordance with Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), Snout is not responsible for user-generated content. Users are solely responsible for the content they post. We do not pre-screen, approve, or endorse any user content, and we cannot be held liable for content posted by others. If content violates our Code of Conduct or applicable laws, you can report it, and we’ll review it, but until then, it's the user's responsibility.
